JPEG is useful for photos without transparency. WebP supports transparency with adjustable lossy quality in supported browsers. PNG keeps alpha transparency, but browser PNG encoding ignores the quality slider. PNG output is not guaranteed to be smaller than the source.
The compressor reads selected files into browser memory and uses the Canvas API to create the output. It does not upload image data or call an AI service. Page assets and fonts load over the network. Reset the tool or close the tab when finished.
Yes. No account, subscription, API key or payment is required.
JPEG and WebP quality controls use lossy encoding, so some detail may change. Compare the previews before downloading. PNG encoding is lossless for the rendered image; resizing changes pixel dimensions.
An image may already be optimized, or the chosen format and quality may require more bytes. Try WebP, lower quality or smaller dimensions. Keep your original if the new result does not help.
PNG and WebP output preserve alpha transparency. JPEG cannot store transparency, so choose a background fill color before converting to JPEG.
Files are limited to 25 MB each and 16384 pixels per side. Output above 24 megapixels is automatically downscaled with its aspect ratio preserved to protect browser memory. Animated PNG or WebP input produces a still image; animation and original metadata are not preserved. Very large batches may still exceed a device’s available memory.
Use a current browser with Canvas support. Select files from your device, adjust the controls and download the result. Available memory and supported output encoders depend on your browser.
