How to resize an image

  1. Choose or drop a JPG, PNG or WebP image (up to 25 MB).
  2. Enter a width or height in pixels. Keep aspect ratio locked to avoid distortion, use a percentage, or choose a preset.
  3. For a fixed canvas choose Contain to fit everything, Cover to crop the center, or Stretch to fill without preserving proportions. Compare the preview and download.

Frequently asked questions

Are images uploaded?

No image data is uploaded. Resizing uses your browser Canvas API. Page assets and fonts still load over the network.

Can I keep a transparent background?

Choose PNG or WebP and a transparent background. JPEG uses a solid background, white by default.

Will enlarging add detail?

Upscaling adds pixels by interpolation; it cannot recover detail missing from the original. The tool warns when enlarging.

What limits apply?

25 MB per input, 16384 pixels per side and 32 megapixels per output. Images slightly above 24 MP are supported. Larger requested outputs show recommended dimensions rather than silently changing your chosen size.

What about animation and metadata?

Animated inputs become a still image. Original metadata is not retained. JPEG and WebP quality controls use lossy encoding; PNG quality is not adjustable.
