Supported files and limitations

Does changing formats improve image quality?

No. Conversion does not restore detail already lost in a compressed source. Choose PNG for transparency and WebP or JPG for compatible photo workflows.

The image conversion code processes selected files locally using browser Canvas. No image upload API is used.
